Galway Races Unveil New Brand Identity and Slogan: “Racing in the City of Tribes”
The Galway Races are proud to announce the launch of a refreshed brand identity, including an updated logo and slogan, marking an exciting new chapter for one of Ireland’s most iconic sporting and cultural events.
Significant time and care was invested in revisiting the Galway Races’ brand values, identity, and future direction. The result is a modern and meaningful evolution that stays true to the organisation’s heritage while embracing its dynamic present.
Once located in the countryside of Ballybrit, the Galway Racecourse is now uniquely positioned within a vibrant and ever-growing city. Set across 150 acres of green space just outside Galway City Centre, the racecourse is surrounded by thriving businesses and a strong, connected community, a transformation that inspired the new slogan:
“Racing in the City of Tribes.”
This new positioning reflects the Galway Races’ identity as they prepare to host their 157th Summer Festival, continuing to evolve while staying deeply connected to their roots and the community they serve.

As anticipation builds for the Galway Races Summer Festival 2026, running for seven days from Monday, 27th July to Sunday, 2nd August, the new brand signals a renewed commitment to delivering world-class racing, entertainment, and hospitality experiences for generations to come.
