Galway Racecourse is fully accessible....

Disabled Parking

There are disabled parking facilities available at Entrance B (please follow Blue/Green Traffic Route) and Entrance C (please follow Red Traffic Route)

These disabled parking facilities are subject to capacity on the raceday and provide easier accessibility to the racecourse entrances.

Disabled Toilet Facilities

Within the Killanin Stand there are disabled toilet facilities located on each of the four floors of the grand stand and also on the ground floor of the Millennium Stand. There are also facilities adjacent to the parade ring and behind the Owners & Trainers Bar.

Viewing Areas

There are dedicated disabled viewing areas within the enclosure:

  • Viewing area at the Parade Ring
  • Viewing area just past the finishing post
  • Viewing area on the First floor of the Killanin Stand

Entry To The Racecourse

Each entrance to the racecourse has a pass gate in addition to the turnstiles, allowing easier access for wheelchair users and pushchairs.

Once inside the racecourse, access to higher levels can be made via lifts

Medical Facilities

Doctors, nurses and Order of Malta personnel will be in attendance throughout the Races and are happy to help assist with any medical needs.

They may be found in the First Aid Room beside Entrance B.

There are three defibrillators within the enclosure, one in the ground floor of the Millennium Stand, one in the ground of the Killanin Stand and one in the Administration Office located adjacent to the weighroom.
