Zorb athletes announced for the Paddy Power sponsored Zorbing Derby in aid of the Irish Injured Jockeys

For the third year running, Galway Racecourse will stage the Paddy Power Zorbing Derby on Tuesday 30th July at 4.40pm on the racetrack just before the first race. Great fun guaranteed with this A-team all in aid of a super cause.

The competition will be fiercer than ever this year with two former GAA stars going head to head with the lads from Off The Ball. We just hope it remains a clean race and there’s no need for a stewards enquiry,” quote Rachael Kane, Irish PR & Mischief Champion at Paddy Power

The 2019 zorb athletes are:

  • Ollie Canning: Sky Sports hurling analyst and 4 time All Star;
  • Aidan O’Mahony: the newest Paddy Power recruit, this Kerry man has got style – on and off the pitch. Although he’s won five All-Ireland’s, it was his performance on Dancing With The Stars that swung it for us. O’Mahony was the rock-hard foundation at the heart of the Kingdom’s defence. His Man of the Match performance in the 2006 All-Ireland final is still the stuff of folklore in Kerry and his views as a pundit are almost as tough as the tackles he was famed for;
  • And the team from Off The Ball: Ger Gilroy, John Duggan and Eoin Sheehan.

Let the games begin!!
