This summer will see the return of Grá Chocolates at Galway Races. From 31st July to 6th August, Galway Races will take place with Grá Chocolates sponsoring for a second year running as part of the two year agreement.
“After the success of last year I am really excited to be back.” said Gráinne Mullins, founder and CEO of Grá Chocolates. “Galway Races mean a lot to me having grown up attending the races with my grandfather, Captain Luke Mullins, so getting to be part of the experience is really special. The races is always a fantastic day out and last year we got to meet so many people who loved our chocolates and selfie wall! This year we have even more plans to share with the guests which we are really excited about.”
Grá Chocolates will be in two locations this year – in the Champagne tent and on the lower ground. As well as the much loved selfie wall from last year, there will be a new addition to their stands – a bespoke Grá Chocolates ‘Spin the Wheel’ created especially for the races. This is an opportunity for anyone purchasing Grá Chocolate or guests with tokens to win some extra chocolate goodies.
This year will also see the return of the limited-edition box of Galway Races inspired chocolates that will be available to buy online via their website and available to buy onsite in Ballybrit during the seven-day summer festival. There are five flavours to choose from, each bespoke chocolate inspired by memories and flavours of the Galway Races through the years from members of Grainne’s family, including Irish racehorse trainer Willie Mullins, his mother Maureen, Grainne’s father Eric, and CEO of Galway Racecourse Michael Moloney.
Luxurious and decadent, Galway-based Grá Chocolates are created by award-winning pastry chef Gráinne Mullins and her team. They are meticulously made and painted by hand, created in small batches, with each chocolate taking three days to make and finish. Grá Chocolates are made from the finest ingredients — ethically sourced Valrhona Chocolate, Casa Luker cocoa butter and the world’s best dairy produce, Irish cream and butter.
