Chanelle Pharma, Supporting the Leading Trainer Award at the Galway Races for 37 Years

Chanelle Pharma are long serving supportive sponsors of the Leading Trainer award at the Galway Races, one of the longest running sponsorship relationships in the history of the Galway Races, coinciding with the year Chanelle first opened its doors as a manufacturer of generic pharmaceuticals in Loughrea in 1985.

“Being a Galway company we have a very special affinity to the Galway Races. It’s the biggest horsing racing festival in Ireland and we are honoured to be associated with it since 1985. Trainers make a significant contribution to the festival and we are proud to support them and their stable staff with this prize money on offer for the weeks overall Leading Trainer”, quote Michael Burke.

For the leading trainer award Chanelle Pharma have sponsored a fantastic €5,000 prize, with €3,000 going to the trainer and €2,000 to the stable staff associated with the yard. Michael Burke added,

“The stable staff do a tremendous job supporting the Galway Races and we want to recognise that. Due to the work behind the scenes by them, the Galway Races can be confident that new trainers, owners, jockeys, horses and festival goers will recognise that the product being produced is one of the best in the world”.

Michael Moloney, General Manager of Galway Races said: “The Chanelle Pharma leading trainer award is a long-established part of The Galway Races and we are delighted it has remained with Chanelle for so long”.  Willie Mullins has won this award for the last 6 years running. The big question this year, who will be crowned Leading Trainer for 2022!
