Chanelle Pharma Announced as Official Sponsors of the “Best Turned Out Series” at the Galway Races Summer Festival

The Galway Races is proud to announce Chanelle Pharma as the Official Sponsors of the Best Turned Out Series at the iconic Galway Races Summer Festival.

This enhanced partnership marks Chanelle Pharma’s 40th year of support for the Galway Races, building on its longstanding sponsorship of the Leading Trainer Award. In a move that deepens its investment in Irish racing, Chanelle Pharma is now recognising the often-unsung efforts of stable staff through the new Best Turned Out Series.

A Best Turned Out Award recognises excellence in horse care, presentation, and attention to detail – values that resonate deeply with Chanelle Pharma. Each race will feature a Best Turned Out Award for the best-groomed and most immaculately presented horse in the parade ring, spotlighting the vital contribution of grooms and stable staff.

To announce this extended partnership, we travelled to Tipperary to John Ryan’s training yard. John’s daughter Isabelle Ryan is wildly recognised with in the industry for winning Best Turned Out Awards.

Commenting on the new sponsorship Isabelle Ryan said: “It’s great to see a company like Chanelle Pharma recognising the work and effort that goes into preparing each horse for the races. We put so much attention and detail into each of our runners, and it means a lot to win a BTO Award! I’m looking forward to the Galway Races Summer Festival and hopefully we’ll have some winners both in the Best Turned Out Series and in the Races!!

Kara Walsh, Chief People Officer of Chanelle Pharma said:
“As we celebrate 40 years of partnership and progress with the Galway Races, Chanelle Pharma is proud to broaden our support to include the hardworking individuals behind the scenes. The Best Turned Out Series awards not only honours their skill and dedication but also echoes our values of attention to detail and long-term commitment to the highest quality.”

Michael Moloney, CEO of Galway Racecourse, added:
“We’re delighted to expand our partnership with Chanelle Pharma. Their continued support of Irish racing, both at trainer level and now at the grassroots of horse care is a testament to their belief in the people who make this sport so special.”

The Galway Races Summer Festival takes place from Monday 28th July to Sunday 3rd August 2025, and with Chanelle Pharma now backing the Best Turned Out Series, this year’s Festival promises even greater recognition for excellence across every aspect of the racing world.
