Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before entering the competition. By entering you indicate that you accept these terms and conditions, and you agree to be bound by them

• The Competition Promoter and data controller is the galway race committee
• Entry to the competition is free. No purchase is necessary.
• The draw is open to any person present at galway races today sunday 2nd august 2026.
• Only one entry per person. If a name is drawn twice with the same details the second draw will be disqualified.
• The competition is not open to employees of Galway Race Committee.
• The competition opens once gates open at Galway Races on Sunday 2nd august 2026 and entries will be drawn at 3pm live on the mad hatters stage in the festival village.
• The finalists will then be assigned by a live draw to a horse in the €110,000 Ahonoora, the 5th race on the card.
• All finalists drawn will have their full names announced over the racecourse sound system and shown on social media. They will also be contacted by telephone.
• If a finalist does not come forward by 3.30pm on Sunday 2nd august 2025their place will be automatically disqualified and a new person will be drawn for that horse.
• Once the finalists are assigned to a declared horse, there will be no changes made. If a horse for any reason does not run in the race, is withdrawn before the start, Jockey ‘weighed in’ carrying less weight than he/she was supposed to be, disqualified for taking the wrong course or any other reason that finalist is also excluded from the competition.
• If there is a steward’s enquiry in the race the result of the Stewards’ Enquiry will be announced clearly on the course. The competition result will be the same as the official stewards result of the race.
• If the entire race is declared void the competition will not take place.
• In the case of a dead heat the two finalists on the winning horses will be placed back into the drawn bin. One name will be pulled out as the overall winner.
• The Competition Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
• All details provided by you will be held by the Competition Promoter in accordance with these terms and conditions and the Promoters Privacy Policy
